It is hard to describe Maciek „Envee” Goliński in just few sentences. He started to produce music in late 90s and cooperated with so many musicians that we don’t even have enough space to introduce all of them.
Many of his favourite arists took part in creating 'Time & Light’ album. His first long play in last 10 years. 16 premiere tracks including guest appearances of such amazing vocalists as: Ania Szarmach, Bartek Królik, Iza Kowalewska, Mr.Are.Dot, Mrozu, Natalia Przybysz, Olga Stopińska, Sean Palmer, Vito Bambino and instrumentalists: Bartozzi Wojciechowski, Damian Kurasz, Dominik Trębski, Emade, Grzegorz Jabłoński, Hubert Zemler, Jerzy Zagórski, Kacper Bogacz, Maciej Wyrobek, Marcin Gańko, Marcin Masecki, Michał FOX Król, Michał Milczarek, Miki Wielecki i Wojtek Sobura.
You may also recognize Envee from remixes for well-known worldwide imprints – Compost, Jazz & Milk, Sonar Kollektiv, Wah Wah 45, GAMM and many more. „Time & Light” finally shows his exceptional, mulit-genre talent on a complex release.
Envee about the „Time & Light” album: I didn’t try to come up with it, I
didn’t dream up the concept of this album. It’s always existed there from the very beginning. Its essence and its greatest value added to the music simply needed to be noticed. Just like in the case of Stanislaw Ulam, who saw straight lines in the spirals of the prime numbers. This music has been with me for the past 15 years yet only recently did I manage to fully grasp it and become further inspired by it. My dry creative seasons as well as the moments of great progress depended on my emotional state. The number of guest appearances was proportional to the intensity of my social life and the amount of people coming into the studio I was working in at the time. The high quality of all the guests is my life’s greatest blessing and a well of incredible stories. A story stretched out over a period of time like a show with too many episodes. I am convinced, that this story’s hero is the algorithm found within the foundation of an ego alongside with an ability to work with a team. It is the work without a clearly set goal, such as finishing an album. Just like dancing isn’t ultimately about reaching a certain point. (vide 'When we dance, the journey itself is the point, as when we play music the playing itself is the point.’ Alan Watts). This story is a remix of movies such as ‘Boyhood’ and ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ (oh, how this muse makes us younger…) told through a number of intertwining stories – Tarantino style.
Album was released on two vinyl records (180g. with poster) and in digital.
