Bio:
Warsaw’s Praga District native. Producer and DJ who kicked off his musical career in 2001 with Namaste’s ‘Lot 76’ LP. Shortly after he performed in the esteemed Agnieszka Osiecka’s Studio at Polish Radio 3. Sucker for synths, shrimps, vhs’, architecture and minimalism. These seemingly incompatibile predilections fall into a common denominator (ignore the shrimps here) – Mies Van der Rohe’s proclamation: ‘Less is More’, which is employed and reflected in Sonar Soul’s music
Driven by the passion for mood altering and mingling, his sounds comes about as a curious blend of electronics, hip hop, house, trance and sea chants. He has developed various musical projects: Namaste Soundsystem, Jazzavie, Confashion Orchestra, Basalias (with Wojtek Urbański and Teielte). Under his Sonar Soul nom de plume he has put out two singles – Feelosophy and Adore – on U Know Me’s sister-labels – Funky Mamas & Papas and Razmatazz. Having collaborated with Chicago’s MC Sir Sqair Blaq he released the material in the form of EP, which featured in numerous radio shows (i.e. Kosmos, Klubowe Granie)
Additionally, he is a member of dj/production team Junoumi Crew. He’s entertained clubgoers across the country visiting venues like Foksal 19, Iguana, The Eve, Confashion, Powiekszenie, Kosmos Kosmos, Cud nad Wisla, 1500, Saturator, Platinium, Regeneracja, Balsam, BarKa, Hustawka (W-wa), 8 bitow, Opcja, Czytelnia (Poznań), Puzzle (Wrocław), Czekolada, Versalka (Sopot)
In 2012, along with the U Know Me Records all-star group (En2ak, Sobura, Teielte, Praktik, Groh, Eltron John, Ment XXL) , he invaded Heineken Open’er Music Festiwal and Tauron Nowa Muzyka Festiwal in 2014.
„Trip To A” EP [UKM 034] is Sonar Soul’s first release on U Know Me Records. Seven original tracks represent his variety of sounds and miscellaneous taste in music production. From heavy beats („Blow Up The Spot”) to classic house dancefloor killers („Let’s Dance”).
